For years I have been asked about photography tips, editing guides and tutorials on how to get the most out of the kit you have. I never really felt qualified to do so, and didn’t really want to throw anything out there that wasn’t 100% accurate, helpful and interesting.
Earlier this year at blogconldn I hosted a lightroom workshop, and was surprised when 30 lovely ladies, split over two sessions came, listened, took notes and asked questions. I think this was the little kick I needed to finally start this series.
I’m a graphic designer by trade, so photoshop and lightroom come along with the day job. Granted, what I do by day is very different to what bloggers tend to want or need. I have seen some very questionable editing techniques over the past few years, but hey, whatever works for you. I’ve also learnt so many innovative editing techniques from bloggers too, I am amazed at how so many people manage to get by, by just using their phone to edit!
Each Friday I will be posting a little guide or tutorial telling you how to get the most out of your photography. From camera setting to lenses, lightroom to photoshop, this will be your one stop shop for all things blog photography.
If you have any questions please leave them below or tweet me @April_todd so I can get a feel of the most common problems or tips you guys want.
